What I like most is the measurements just below the moving bit. It helps save a few extra turns of adjustment. The rubber grip is nice too.
Will other reviewers please include it for the 8" and 10" wrenches. The maximum jaw width of the 6" wrench is 19mm (3/4"). This key piece of information is missing in the specifications of the Stanley adjustable wrenches. One kind soul has it for the 12". Thanks.
It's an adjustable wrench, pretty straight forward.Good quality, looks nice (first point is more important than the second, but there it is).It adjusts and holds its size better than other tools by major manufacturers that I've used in the past.Although I haven't used the grip in wet or cold environments, I imagine it would suit better in both of those situations. As it is, having the grip helps provide a better feel, if not more torque. Review cross-posted to cover the different sizes I've used (6", 8", & 10").
Stanley products are generally well made. The reason I chose this wrench is because my hands are small and I thought it would be easier to handle. But this one is way to small. The 8" would have been a better choice.
There is nothing truly special about this wrench. I have not had the opportunity to test its strength or durability. It does what it is supposed to do. The grips are comfortable, the size scale could be of use in some circumstances and there is very little play in the adjusting mechanism. Otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars. This review also applies to the 10 inch version of this wrench.
